The case of alleged irregular land allocation and abuse of office brought against former Minister of the FCT, Malam Nasir El Rufai and two others by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been adjourned till March 21 by Justice Sadiq Abubakar Umar of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court.
The adjournment for continuation of the trial followed the cross examination of one Chukwuma Okoye, who was led in evidence by the prosecuting counsel, Mr. Adebayo Adelodun, SAN. Chiefs Akin Olujimi, SAN, and Kanu Agabi, SAN, both counsel to 1st, 2nd and 3rd accused, cross-examined Okoye on the size of the contentious Plot 1201, belonging to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN.
The other accused a former Director- General of the Abuja Geographic Information System, AGIS, Altine Jibrin as well as former General Manager of AGIS, Ismail Iro.
Specifically, the former minister is standing trial for allegedly allocating 10 plots of land in Asokoro District to members of his family.
