2015: PDP Prepared For War With Opposition – Tukur

PDP-LogoAs political parties gear up for the 2015 general elections, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that it is aware of the antics of opposition parties towards seizing power and that it is ready to do battle against any of them.

National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who gave this warning in a recent interview, said:

“I am now convinced that the opposition groups are preparing war against the PDP as we march towards 2015. We will match them action for action, wit for wit, strength for strength and we will put them where they belong as we have been doing since 1999. We cannot relent and this is the time we should begin to take action,” he said.

Tukur added that the party’s leadership had set in motion a process of reconciling its aggrieved members across all states of the federation, adding that “it is our responsibility to do that. But all the same, I crave for continued support for the party by our members so that we can begin to take faster steps in our journey to greatness, rather than allow ourselves to be tied down by issues we should have resolved with the snap of fingers.”
