With the wave of armed robbery, kidnapping and increasing insecurity in the state, Delta State Police Commissioner, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, has said that additional 100 police divisional headquarters would be created.

Aduba made this known in Ughelli while commissioning the perimeter fencing project embarked upon by the Ughelli Area Command, adding that the police was equal to the task of policing the state.

He said the police will continue to collaborate with members of the public, just as he commended the efforts of the Ughelli vigilante group in assisting the police in tackling crime in the area.

Aduba also urged the people of the area to be involved in the policing of their domain as it has proven very effective over the years.

  1. It’s a welcome development, In fact for past five years I am always been scared, whenever I visit home (Agbor). I have heard series of killing, arm robberies and occults almost taking over the whole Agbor. You cannot move about freely from 7pm, unlike before. I pray to Almighty God to give the policemen the strength to fight the crime.
