The Minister of Interior, Mr Abba Moro, on Monday in Abuja said the Federal Government would not relent in its effort to restore peace and harmony to the country.
Moro made the comment at a training workshop on Principles and Practise of Alternative Dispute Resolution jointly organised by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Institute for Conflict Resolution and the UNDP.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mrs Anasthesia Nwaobia, the minister said “no meaningful development can be achieved in a country faced with conflicts.
“A country faced with challenges ranging from communal clashes, violence, inter-religious conflicts, armed conflicts and other vices cannot experience any growth.”
He commended the collaborative efforts of the NSCDC, the UNDP and the Institute for Conflict Resolution in seeking solutions to the conflicts in the country.
