Kehinde Fatai believes his glory days at Romania’s Astra Giurgiu are over and wants to leave the club for a different challenge. The former FC Farul Constanta striker plans to make a move this summer.
Interests have been pouring in from Russia, Germany, Belarus and Turkey and the former JUTH FC of Jos marksman said a move away from the Romanian club is necessary for his young and fledgling career.
“I have discussed with the club and there was an understanding. I told them that I wish to leave in the summer. There is a price tag on me to leave, there are offers and I am sure I will leave to the best place. I have paid my dues here in Romania and need a change for a new challenge,” Fatai told MTNFootball.com.
Meanwhile, Romania’s Astra Giurgiu have placed a transfer fee of €1.2 million on Fatai.
He has scored 14 goals this season, 12 goals in the league and 2 in the cup.
Fatai netted a brace at the weekend to help Astra Giurgiu win 4-2 against Tiatra Neanit.
He is a former U20 and U23 international.
