Alhaji Sule Lamido of Jigawa State has said the Peoples Democratic Party will not embarrass its National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur.
Lamido, who made this known in Abuja on Thursday while addressing journalists after the meeting of the committee set up by the governors to handle the crisis rocking the Adamawa State chapter of the party, was responding to a question on whether he and his colleagues had forgiven the embattled chairman of the party, who is currently holidaying in London.
He said, “Whatever the problem between us and the national chairman is, we see ourselves as one family. There must be respect, there should be care. The PDP will not embarrass him.
“Our party interest first, the party fortunes, what we are going to do to restore confidence of Nigerians. ACN, ANPP don’t experience one percent of PDP headache.
“The bigger the head, the bigger the headache but we have the capacity to overcome it. We don’t fear crises.
“Do you know what they call human management? Naturally, in any human gathering there are crises, there are problems, but you see, the PDP has the capacity and the sagacity to solve and overcome its own problems.”
Lamido also said the meeting of the committee on Adamawa, which included the Governor of Abia State, Chief Theodore Orji; a former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana was well-attended.
