Rangers finally entered into transfer agreement with Warri Wolves over the service of goalkeeper, Chigozie Agbim. After an eleventh hour injury to captain Godwin Ayologu, the Enugu club will be fielding the new recruit in goal in their today’s Champions League clash with Recreativo do Libolo.
Rangers’ general manager Paul Ozor Chibuzor informed MTNFootball.com that Agbim has now been formally transferred to ‘The Flying Antelopes’ from Warri Wolves.
The deal was said to have been sealed at the White Leaf Hotel, New Haven, Enugu in the presence of the club’s general manager to ensure a recognized goalkeeper will be on parade for Rangers against Recreativo. The transfer fee is believed to be eight million Naira (about $50,000).
“Agbim has signed for us and we are now working out the modalities to sort out Sunday Mba’s case,” Chibuzor said.
Both Agbim and Mba have been training with Rangers and have been placed on standby for this encounter.
Another ex- Shooting Stars goalkeeper Daniel Emmanuel will also be on the bench for Rangers against the Angolans Recreativo do Libolo in today’s Champions League third round clash in Enugu.
Kick- off time has been fixed for 3pm Nigerian time.
