Among the unheard events that took place while Enugu Rangers battled Recreativo of Angola was the case of a teenager who went into Rangers dressing room and tried to steal telephones and other gadgets of the players during the CAF Champions League tie.
According to information gathered on the MTNFootball.com website, Rangers camp commandant Albert Ogbodo caught the boy as he tried to make away with the electronic gadgets of the players. Items such as phones, electronic game machine and ipads were discovered with the suspect at the dressing room in the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu during Sunday’s match.
The electronic game machine was said to have belonged to goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel.
Ogbodo promptly handed the boy, who was around 17 years old, to the police for prosecution.
The champions League third round match ended 0-0 with the second leg slated for Angola in a fortnight.
