APGA Warns Okorocha To Reconsider Stance On Joining APC

APC-Progress-Meeting-660x330The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has advised Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, to have a rethink on his recent decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The National Chairman of a faction of the party loyal to Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, Mr. Maxi Okwu,  said yesterday that the party’s advise to Okorocha became imperative to save him from becoming a political orphan.

“APGA gives this timely advice to Okorocha to save him from becoming a political orphan wandering in political wilderness in Nigeria’s political horizon, ”  he said.

It would be recalled that Okorocha on Tuesday at a rally in Owerri to mark his two years in office, formally declared for the APC.

Okwu in his statement said since Okorocha was elected on the platform of APGA,  the party felt it was wise to advise him “to have a re-think on his decision to join APC, a political association that has not been registered as a political party by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and whose acronym is being contested by another political association.”
