A police officer attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, CID, named Watha Yaga was on Monday kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be terrorists, in Pulka town of Gwoza council area of Borno State.
The gunmen, it was gathered, killed their victim the following day and dumped his remains at the outskirts of Ndaba village.
The corpse of the deceased, according to a source said, “Has been found in a remote village called Ndaba near Gwoza Local Government Area of the state.”
The police officer, according to sources, was seriously interrogated by the suspected terrorists, but when he could not volunteer the needed information, he was killed the following day without demanding any ransom.
