Job Title: Offshore EHS Advisor

Job Description

To work on two production facilities offshore Nigeria – one is a wellhead platform and FPSO, and one which comprises two production platforms and an FSO.
The position will be a 28/28 day rotation requiring two back to back personnel. The position will report to the EHS Manager in Lagos, but will be required to liaise closely with the key personnel offshore, the Company Representative and Field Security Advisor, as well as the offshore contractor management who are responsible for operating and maintaining the production facilities.
The focus of the role will be to ensure that the contractor operates and maintains the production facilities in a safe manner, applying the contractors safety management system, policies and procedures. Where these are found to be inadequate or are not fully implemented the candidate will work with the contractor to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.

Skills & Experience
Candidates should have the right to live and work in Nigeria.
Strong production operations safety back ground, gained in a similar environment; i.e. FPSO, FSO and production platforms.
Qualification in safety, health or environmental discipline.
Considerable experience of working on offshore production facilities, ideally in Nigeria.
Experience on FPSO/FSOs an advantage.
Physical fit to work offshore (current offshore medical certificate).
Offshore survival training qualified.

Experience of the following preferred:
Conducting audits and inspections.
Tracking and closing-out actions and recommendations.
Incident and accident investigation and reporting, trained in root cause analysis.
Implementation of Permit to Work Systems, isolations, lock-out/tag-out.
Management of change.
Job safety assessments/risk assessments.
Safety observation programmes, eg STOP.

This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
