After returning from his previous retirement to assist Manchester United in a less flamboyant midfield, Paul Scholes will end an emotional week by announcing his retirement on Sunday (for the second time.)
The former England international originally turned his back on professional football in May 2011, but reversed the decision in January 2012.
Sportsmail revealed that the 38- year- old midfielder will confirm the decision to finally hang up his boots ahead of the clash against Swansea at Old Trafford.
Scholes will head for the exit door in the footsteps of his boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who announced his retirement earlier this week.
The announcement of Scholes’ 20 year senior career at Old Trafford is due to be made in the lead up to kick- off against the Swans.
