The Board of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), on Tuesday, held its inaugural meeting in Abuja with a resolution to set up a three- man task team to co- ordinate its on- going activities.

Former national team coach and board member, Agboola Pinherio, was appointed by the board to head the Task Team pending the reconstitution of the boards working committees.

Two former national team players, Deji Jayeola and Lawal Garba were the other members of the Three- man Task Team, while the NBBF Secretary General Francis Gbiri is to serve as secretary.

President of the newly- inaugurated NBBF Board, Tijani Umar said the team would coordinate the DSTV Premier Basketball League, the Zenith Bank National Women’s League as well as preparations for the 2013 Afrobasket for men and women coming up later in the year.

Former captain of Team Nigeria and member of the NBBF Board Olumide Oyedeji was mandated as the federation’s International Liaison Officer to coordinate all the federation’s activities.
