Striker Wayne Rooney is not expected to be among the squad that will be taking on West Bromwich Albion in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final game in charge of Manchester United.

Unlike last week when he was left out because of his questionable desire to field for the Old Trafford club, it’s the expectation of a second child that will keep Rooney away from club duties.

Coleen Rooney went into child labour late on Saturday night and the couple, who already have a three- year- old son Kai is expecting their second issue.

Also, Rooney’s future at Old Trafford could be clarified in the coming days as the striker is expected to meet with his former manager at Everton David Moyes to decide on the way forward.

Rooney have been a top transfer target for other clubs such as Chelsea, Paris St Germain and recently Arsenal, after the England international requested a transfer last month, having lost his role as the top strike force to Robin van Persie this season.

However, Rooney is understood to be keen to start afresh under new manager Moyes and he’s seeking reassurance about his future roles for the team.

Moyes is expected to meet Rooney, before going on holiday at the end of the month to iron out the most pressing issue taking center- stage at the club he would be handed it’s rein July 1.
