PROSPECTIVE MANAGEMENT OVERSEAS – PMO – Nigeria
Job Description

Project: Needs assessment and feasibility study for slum upgrading and solid waste.
The intended intervention of AFD aims at improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable among the urban population of Lagos city. The three components are :

– Slums upgrading with Lasura (diagnosis / needs assessment and feasibility study)
– Solide Waste Management with Lawma (diagnosis / needs assessment and feasibility study)
– Program Management and Implementation activities

An additional fourth component consists in identifying a project for application to an additional grant.
Duration: 4 months
Desired Skills & Experience

Education: Master of Science in Urban Planning / Architectur.
Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience.

The feasibility study will be conducted by a team with :
– Previous experience in assembling and conducting feasibility studies and if possible technical assistance (during implementation phase) in the fields of “solid waste management”, “slums upgrading” and “integrated urban development”;
– Proven expertise in infrastructure projects design and implementation;
– Extensive knowledge of the urban development sector in general and preferably in the Nigerian context;
– Previous experience in conducting studies and projects funded by international donor agencies.
