2015 Elections: APC Set To Give PDP A Good Run, Says Senator Akume

akumeFormer Benue State Governor and Minority Leader in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator George Akume, has said the overwhelming support the All Progressives Congress (APC) enjoys is an indication of its good political fortunes against the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2015 general elections.

Akume made this known in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital when he visited the governor, Alhaji Umar Tanko Al-makura as part of efforts to galvaniise support for the registration of APC with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Describing the birth of APC as a credible alternative to the ruling party, Senator Akume (ACN representing Benue North West), said the party will bring about uncommon transformation of the country starting with political victory at the 2015 general elections.

In his response, governor Al-makura said “the opposition parties have performed creditably and will seize the opportunity in 2015 to correct the misrule of the PDP administration”.
