Former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayo Fayose, has declared that he won’t be distracted by the attempt made on his life last Tuesday by yet-to-be identified assassins, saying rather, his resolve to defeat the incumbent, Dr Kayode Fayemi at next year’s governorship poll, has been strengthened.
Fayose, in a statement signed by the Director of Publicity and Research of Ayo Fayose Campaign Organisation (AFCO), Mr. Idowu Adelusi, in Ado Ekiti Saturday, said the attack has added impetus to his resolve to ensure that the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) government was sacked from the Ekiti Government House by 2014.
“I am unpertubed by the attack and I cannot be intimidated. The spate of violence in the state, the murder of Ayodele Jeje and the attempt on my life are making the ACN government more unpopular. I am advising all my supporters not to get disturbed. God is my refuge,” Fayose said in the statement.
