Job Description

This critically important appointment of CTO is a rare opportunity to work for the leading broadband network provider in Nigeria. Over the last 11 years, this market leader has provided multi-service broadband connectivity services to businesses and residential subscribers across the country.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will be responsible for the day to day, proactive management and continual improvement of the entire network. Also responsilbile for the operational effectiveness of internal IT systems you will have extensive experience of Access, Core and Transmission Networks, Business & Operational Support Systems (BSS/OSS) and IT Applications (CRM/ERP).
You will continue the committment of the company to delivery best in class customer service metrics, ensure minimum network uptime of 99.9% is consistently achieved, whilst always driving to improve this network uptime. You will lead improvement programmes to include the network roll out plans across multi sites through Nigeria.

In this business leading role you will provide leadership, professional training and development to a team of engineers and IT specialists across multiple sites across Nigeria; therefore your must have a broad technical knowledge and strong management skills.
This is a critical and senior appointment and therefore requires strong and deep technical knowledge across telecom infrastructure and architecture. You should not apply unless you can demonstrate the following:
You MUST have atleast 10 years experience:
Core, Access & Transmission Network design, build and management for data and voice.
Indepth technical and operational understanding of data and voice billing systems.
Good understanding of business critical applications for CRM, email and accounting.
Transmission Performance
People and project management and technical team leadership.
Ideally currently working for a leading telecoms operator you will have as a minimum of a Second Class Upper (3 point GPA on a 4 point scale) Degree in Engineering, IT or a related field.
The position is based in Lagos with immediate start date.
