PDP Govs Missing As Bamanga’s Son Weds In Katsina

Bamanga TukurThe wedding fatiha of Engineer Muhammad Bamanga Tukur, son to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and Hajiya Badiyyah Isah Katsina witnessed a poor attendance by governors of the party as they were conspicuosly missing.

The event which took place in Katsina, is a glaring testimony to the fact that all is not well within the self-acclaimed largest party in Africa as it was attended by only one governor, Ibrahim Shema; whose state hosted the event, Vice President Namadi Sambo, former Ministers Bello Halliru (Defence) and Professor Jerry Gana (Information) among others.

The marriage was held at the resident of the former Secretary to Katsina State Government, Alhaji Isa Katsina located at the Government Reserved Area (GRA).

The PDP National Chairman had been in the state since Tuesday for the wedding fatiha and had during his stay, commissioned some projects executed by the Shema-led administration, which include new PDP state secretariat, Sarki Abdulrahman and Sarki Dikko housing units respectively.

Other projects executed by Governor Shema and visited by Tukur include the 250-bed orthopaedic hospital, the multi-billion naira modern stadium, Katsina bye-pass and the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University among other projects.
