Police Warn Jonathan’s Aide Against Causing Disaffection In Nasarawa State

Mohammed-AbubakarThe Nasarawa State Police command has described the statement attributed to President Goodluck Jonathan’s Special Assistant on Job Creation, Mrs Josephine Washima that the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Umar Shehu, ignored security reports warning on the invasion of Rukubi community by Tivs last Tuesday as false, malicious and mischievous.

This was contained in a press statement made available to journalists in Lafia, the state capital on Sunday by the state command and signed by the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer (DPPRO), Mr Cornelius Ocholi.

According to the statement, “the story is false, malicious and mischievous, intended not only to smear the name of the state commissioner of police, but also to cause disaffection between the police and good people of the area.”
