Sunshine Stars FC of Akure has made known their interest in Kwara United striker Adamu Yahaya.
According to supersport.com, the Ondo State owned club has made an approach to the player’s representatives with the intention of sealing a deal in the mid-season transfer window a few weeks from now.
“An approach has been made to the player and those close to him by Sunshine Stars but nothing concrete has been reached. We are hoping to secure him in the mid-season transfer window but it might be difficult after his experience with us before he left in Week nine for Kwara United,” the Sunshine Stars official told supersport.com.
Yahaya, who had played for Rising Stars, Sunshine Stars’ sister club dumped the Abimbola Samuel-led side for Kwara United, because he wasn’t getting play time under the ousted coach.
Yahaya was named the League Bloggers Awards (LBA) Player for May after scoring four goals in five matches for Kwara United in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
