Former Arsenal, Real Madrid and Chelsea striker Nicola Anelka, 34, has reportedly signed a two-year contract with West Brom.
Albion midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu welcomed Anelka to the Baggies, tweeting (@mulumbuofficial) a picture of the French striker holding a West Brom shirt and wrote:
“Looooool welcome Mr. Anelka in west brom and all the best.”
Anelka was most recently a player-coach at Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, and also had a loan spell at Juventus.
West Brom head coach Steve Clark worked with the former France international at Stamford Bridge. Anelka will be a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who was on loan at the Hawthorn from Chelsea last season.
