Manchester United Manager, David Moyes’ confidence at landing Cesc Fabregas despite Barca’s public insistence that the midfielder will remain at the Camp Nou for the foreseeable future seems crazy to many, but recent reports suggest Moyes may not be just a dreamer after all.
Fabregas is yet to rejoin his team mates in their preparation for the new season, and has been away on holiday.
The Spanish midfielder has now decided his future lies at Old Trafford, according to Inside Spanish Football.
Fabregas cannot personally speak with United, due to contractual obligations with Barca, but his agent has been the intermediary between the two sides – and has agreed a deal with United chief executive Ed Woodward who has been notably busy on undisclosed transfer talks, cutting short one of his travels to attend to it.
The offer from United for the former Arsenal skipper is believed to be worth around £30 million, and a deal may be agreed in the next few weeks.
