Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic says he would not have any issue if the club signed Luis Suarez despite the Liverpool striker presently serving a ten-match ban for biting him.
Suarez apologized for his “inexcusable behaviour” in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea in April and Ivanovic believes the incident died after they both left the pitch.
“I said after the game on the field that whatever has happened is finished there,” the 29-year-old defender said.
“He is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and I don’t have any problem or doubts with him.”
Suarez has been at the centre-stage of transfer speculations since disclosing he is unsettled at the Merseyside club because of the pressure of the English media.
