Kobe Bryant was a surprise visitor at AC Milan’s revered ground, Milanello, as the Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard continued his recovery from an Achilles injury that ended his 2013/13 NBA season abruptly.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist was at the state-of-the-art centre to work on his injury, where he revealed he is a huge fan of the Rossoneri.
“I have always been a Milan fan,” he told Milan’s TV. “Back in LA I have a Milan scarf and shirt hanging up in my locker room.”
He was greeted by Milan players Andrea Poli and Daniele Bonera and was handed a Milan shirt with number, 24, on the back.
“Black Mamba” as he’s fondly called sustained the tendon injury three months ago and was expected to be sidelined for between six to nine months, but could return earlier for the start of the new NBA season.
