Romelu Lukaku Returned From a Season-Long Loan Spell at West Brom.

Romelu Lukaku scored the third goal in Sunday night’s 4-1 defeat of a Malaysia XI in Kuala Lumpur for his second goal of the Blues’ pre-season fixtures, but manager Jose Mourinho insists good enough is never enough for the Belgian striker, whom many have likened to Didier Drogba.

Mourinho was not prepared to make a direct comparison between Lukaku and Drogba, despite sharing similar traits to Ivory Coast forward Drogba, who was a key member of Mourinho’s squad in his first spell. He rather said “the kid is good.”

“We have to respect Didier Drogba, because Didier’s unique in Chelsea history,” said Mourinho.

“And we have to respect Lukaku and the best way to respect Lukaku is not to compare him with a legend of Chelsea Football Club.

“The kid is good,” added Mourinho.
