National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas workers (NUPENG) last night called off its three-day warning strike after a meeting with the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Engr. Andrew Yakubu.
NUPENG had commenced a three-day warning strike on Monday over longstanding labour disputes and its biting effect already was been felt across major towns and cities as long queues resurfaced at petrol stations and transporters quickly jacked up their transport fares.
