Rivers State Fracas: Media Deliberately Painting Wike In Bad Light, Aide Says

nyesom-wike-3Minister of State for Education, Barrister Nyesom Wike, has been described as a humble and patriotic Nigerian, who is largely misunderstood by Nigerians due to media reportage of him as a villain.

Chief Lambert Oparah, who is special adviser to the minister on special duties, made this known yesterday in Abuja.

According to Opara, since the political crisis in the minister’s home state of Rivers came to limelight, a section of the media has deliberately painted Mr. Wike’s role in the entire episode in bad light by wrongly accusing him as the instigator of all the problems in the state.

The aide noted that beyond what is being written by his boss in a section of the media, Wike, who is a former chief of staff to Governor Rotimi Amaechi, is peace-loving, hardworking, patriotic and is trying to reposition the nation’s education sector.

  1. Minister meka o! When able Men in Rivers State rise up to Speak out for the Citizen of Rivers State he becomes a bad man. Rivers State Gov CRA has turned himself into mini god with his arrogance and dictatorial leadership in Rivers state so any one who dares to correct him becomes a Devil to him and his supporters (Employers). We challenge the Governor to deny it that he doesn’t listen to the voice of his people in Rivers state so that Nigerians will tell who is wrong and right..
