Senate Suspends Plenary Today As Mark Of Respect For Departed Senator Ewherido

SenateSenate president David Mark yesterday disclosed that the Senate will suspend today’s plenary session as a mark of respect for the late Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Pius Akpo Ewherido who passed away on Sunday.

Mark made this known when he led the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and a host of Senators to the residence of the late Ewherido’s in Asokoro, Abuja, on a condolence visit.

“In line with our tradition and as a mark of respect for our departed colleague, the Senate will suspend plenary tomorrow (today). We share in your bereavement, pains and sorrows at this moment of grief,” Senator Mark told the departed Senator’s wife, Doye.

He further urged members of the Ewherido family to continue to have faith in God noting that “death always subject our faith in God to test.”
