A three-year-old boy, Destiny Osanebi was abducted by suspected kidnappers from his parents, Mr and Mrs Lucky Osanebi’s house in Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Delta State.
Member, representing Ndokwa East in Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Friday Osanebi, confirmed the kidnap of the child when contacted, yesterday, saying: “The father of the child is my elder brother.”
The gunmen have contacted the family and requested for a N10 million ransom.
“Three gun-totting kidnap gang laid siege to the home of Mr Osanebi on Monday and held his family hostage at about 10.00 pm. They robbed family members of cash, phones and other valuable property, before abducting their son.”
“The gang established contact with the family on Tuesday morning demanding N10 million. This is ridiculous, the child is only three years, four months old,” our source added.
Mother of the child, who said she was still dazed by the incident told Vanguard on phone it was true her child was kidnapped.
It was gathered the kidnappers, who went away with the the elder Osanebi ‘s phone had told the family to contact their lawmaker brother to raise the ransom if they have any problem with the sum.
