Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State has expressed optimism that All Progressives Congress (APC) would be the vehicle of hope in 2015 that will deliver on the much desired change that will transform the living conditions of the citizens of the country.
Gaidam was speaking at the Maiduguri International Airport when he returned from the first stakeholders meeting of the APC since its registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.
He said: “We need change in Nigeria because the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has failed Nigerians. Power sector, the education, health care services, road development among others has all being in shambles and the time to seek for change is now”.
Speaking on the APC Leaders meeting which held on Wednesday in Abuja, Gov. Gaidam said he had promised to deliver Yobe state during the 2015 general elections.
This, he said could be fulfilled with the support of the people of Yobe State.
“I can see hope in this party and my promised that Yobe will be delivered to APC is already achieved. We should work together towards building a virile country for our generation yet unborn and such efforts should be taken seriously and the time for it is now.”
The governor reiterated the agenda of the APC which he said will be committed to fighting corruption, creating job opportunities, and ensuring security of lives and property of the people by creating conducive atmosphere for sustainable development.
The governor, who was received at the airport by his deputy, Engr. Abubakar Aliyu, top government officials, politicians and well-wishers, called on Nigerians to rally round the party for the realization of its dreams which is for the progress of the country.
