Governor Kwankwaso Rains Cash and Cars on Nigerian Champions, Pillars.

The Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, exemplified his magnanimity by rewarding the players and officials of Kano Pillars with the sum of N500,000 and N750,000 respectively for winning the 2012/13 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.

Pillars, who currently occupy the second spot of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table, were declared champions last season after their last day encounter with Sunshine Stars which they lost 1-2 in Akure.

At the ceremony, which took place at the government house, State road in Kano State on Tuesday, the Governor, who couldn’t hide his feelings, expressed how delighted he is that Pillars won the title and the onus on him to reciprocate the feat with a kind gesture of gratitude.

“Kano Pillars made me happy by winning the league title and I have to reward them awesomely,” Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso told supersport.com.

“To win the Nigeria League title is not an easy task and I’m therefore challenging them to win again this season.”

Pillars’ players and officials have also been given a KIA Picanto each for winning the NPFL.
