She spoke at the opening of a six-day training workshop on Revitalising Adult and Youth Literacy in Nigeria.

Anibueze said the Federal Government’s aim was to educate four to five million illiterate adults and two million out-of-school youths over the next three years.

According to her, the collaborative effort is already yielding results, as UNESCO Institute for Life Long Learning welcomed 10 Nigerian researchers to Hamburg between April and June this year, in order to support them in developing projects and research evidence.

“One person out of these 10 international scholars from Nigeria was selected from Enugu State,” Anibueze pointed out.
