‘I’m 100% PDP’, Says Gov. Suswam Amid Reports Of Massive Decampment Of PDP Govs To APC

pdp-logoAmid reports that some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors are planning to dump the party ahead 2015 general elections, Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswam, has expressed optimism that he will remain a PDP member until it attains a desired status.

He stated this while speaking with State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The governor while admitting that politics was a free game and anyone could change sides at any time, vowed to stick with the PDP.

“As far as I’m concerned, I’m 100 per cent PDP. I will never leave the party and I believe I will stay with the party until we get to where we want to be,” he said.

Speaking on the ongoing consultation of eminent Nigerians by five of his colleagues from the North, Mr. Suswam said it was in their rights as leaders to embark on the consultations.

“They are leaders in their own rights to consult, I’m not part of the wider consulting and what they are consulting for, they have the right to consult, so I do not feel that whatever they are doing round is for the interest of the country.

“I believe that whatever we do as present leaders, we must ensure that whatever actions we take would be for the interest of the people,” he said.
