The emir, who described the provision as giant stride, gave the commendation in Gombe on Sunday after inspecting projects executed by the Dankwambo-led administration in the last two years.
Abubakar was conducted round the project sites by the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Alhaji Shehu Hadi-Ahmed.
He stressed that the infrastructure were unprecedented in the history of the State.
“I congratulate you for the developments taking place in Gombe town. I have seen that the governor is taking the construction of roads seriously.
“We are lucky to have a leader like him. Our governor is giving the required leadership and he is always in the forefront and is very lucky to have these commissioners”, he said.
The emir also visited erosion control sites and new settlements in the town.
The commissioner said he was delighted at the inspection of the projects by the emir, saying it was encouraging.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the emir was accompanied by the Chairman of Gombe Local Government Council, Alhaji Sagir Abubakar and Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation, Alhaji Mijinyawa Labaran, among others (NAN).
