Moses started from the right in a 4-2-3-1 formation and immediately made his mark in the 12th minute, setting up the first goal when he won and started a run from deep in the Chelsea half and laid the ball into Oscar’s path, who curled a delightful shot past Samir Handanovic in the Italian club’s goal.

Moses troubled Inter’s left-back, Alvaro Pereira throughout the 66 minutes he spent on the pitch and his superb form earned Chelsea a second goal in the 29th minute.

His menacing run into the opposition penalty area had him brought down on the edge but assistant referee adjudged that the foul was inside the box and a penalty kick was given.

Hazard clinically converted the spot kick to hand the Blues a two-goal lead going into the break.

Moses later made way for Michael Essien as John Obi Mikel came in for Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel in the 66th minute.

Chelsea’s next match will be against AC Milan on Sunday.
