Glenda Estell, 54, and her son, Derrick Estell, planned the July 28 escape from the Garland County Jail during phone calls during the month leading up to the getaway, police say.
“The phone conversations between Derrick and Glenda Estell all have random mentions of the plan for Derrick to escape custody,” the police report said, according to ABC News.
Investigators continue to search for the missing inmate, who dove through an open window to sprint to a waiting getaway car, THV11 reports.
Estell is charged with assisting in or furnishing an implement of escape for an inmate, according to Ozark First. She is scheduled to appear in court August 13.
