Nigerian Company Claims Copyright To The R.F.I.D Solution In The Oil And Gas Industry

Haynes-Worth International Limited has claimed it is the sole and legitimate copyright owner of the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tracker solution in the offshore oil and gas industry.
In a statement the company released in Lagos, it stated that it has completed all its necessary obligations to secure the copyright of the product through the Nigerian Copyright Commission.
According to the CEO of the company, Joseph Afenikhena Imonikhe, “Haynes-Worth International Limited was confirmed as the copyright owner of the RFID tracker in the oil industry in Africa. This was duly granted to us on the 18th of July of 2013, this year.”
Mr. Imonikhe said the RFID tracker for the oil industry is the latest evolution in automated data capture technology. This device is a solution for the offshore oil and gas sector , effectively securing the pipelines and maintenance. It also ensures cost-effective real-time visibility of assets, asset location, with the most minimal human efforts, he continued. He further stated that the device guarantees significantly less time to be spent on paperwork and manual data entry while accuracy has extremely improved.
Mr. Imonikhe concluded by stating that his company’s ownership on the solution means that every manufacturer, distributor must seek their consent before distributing it to any oil and gas company across the continent.
