One Leg In, One Out: Policewoman Caught In Video Demanding N100 Bribe Arrested

Police CorporalThe policewoman, who was caught on video demanding and receiving gratification of N100 from a commercial bus driver at an unidentified bus stop in Lagos State, has been arrested.

Information Nigeria reports that the policewoman, a corporal, was seen in the one minute 24 seconds raw footage sitting inside the bus and preventing it from moving except her demand of a N100 bribe was met by the driver, who after a hot exchange of words, instructed his conductor to part with the money.

However, as it happened barely two weeks ago when a police sergeant, Chris Omeleze, was arrested and subsequently dismissed after a video surfaced online showing him asking for N25,000 bribe from the driver of a private car, who apparently violated traffic rules, the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday said it arrested the policewoman after conducting investigations based on the contents of the video.

“We have arrested her and she is presently in custody. She will be made to undergo an orderly room trial and the outcome will be made public,’’ said Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Ngozi Braide.
