It’s now common knowledge that Peter Okoye, one half of the multiple award-winning P-Square last Tuesday, shocked many of his fans when he finally proposed to Lola Omotayo, his long time friend and mother of his two kids (Cameron and Aliona) with a diamond ring and a brand new white Range Rover Vogue worth N15 million.
Peter Okoye says he didn’t give Lola prior notice of his plan, he just visited her residence as normal, but this time he went with the car he proposed with and parked it inside her compound. On the bonnet of the vehicle, he also dropped a rose flower and a love card with the inscription, ‘Please say Yes.’
As expected, Lola’s answer was yes and the two got lost in a long passionate kiss.
Minutes later, Peter Okoye posted on his Instagram and Twitter handle saying, “It’s about time,” and shortly after, he also posted that “she said yes.”
Peter then updated his Blackberry status with “Officially, she’s now Mrs. Okoye…” .
When Peter was asked why he finally decided to propose to Lola, Peter said: “it is something I had always wanted to do and I knew I would definitely do this to Lola one day, but I needed to wait for the right time. Honestly, she deserves even more from me.” .
Lola’s response was, “it is a day the Lord has made. I’m excited the way any woman in my shoes would.”
The romance between these two love birds – Peter and Lola started many years ago, even before Peter became a celebrity.
A Public Relations expert said that, Lola met Peter while she was working with FKG2, an advertising company.
