President Goodluck Jonathan has hailed the untiring efforts of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III to promote and advance the cause of peace, unity and positive development in all parts of the country.
This was contained in a congratulatory letter issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati.
The President wished the Sultan, who clocked 57-years today, a very happy birthday.
Mr. Jonathan also prayed that God Almighty will grant the monarch, who is also the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, many more years of worthy service to the nation.
The statement reads in part: “I write on behalf of my family, the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to felicitate with you on the occasion of your 57th birthday.
“As you continue to use your exalted throne to promote the cause of peace, unity and positive development in the Caliphate and across our nation, I commit you into the hands of Almighty Allah and pray that He continues to prosper you and bless you with robust health and many more years of enduring fulfillment,” the President wrote.
