Victims Of Robbery Attack In Katsina Get Relief Materials From NEMA

Ibrahim ShemaThe National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Tuesday in Katsina donated relief materials to the victims of armed robbery attack that took place recently in Maigora town, Faskari LGA.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that, one month ago, a gang of armed robbers invaded Miagora town.

During their operation, the hoodlums embarked on house-to-house raid and dispossessed the residents of their money and carted away herds of cattle.

NEMA Director-General, Alhaji Sani Sidi, presented the materials to the state government for onwards delivery to victims of the robbery attack.

The Executive Director of the state Rehabilitation and Relief Agency (RERA), Alhaji Hassan Rawayau, received the materials on behalf of the government.

The NEMA DG, who was represented by Alhaji Musa Ilallah, North-West Zonal Coordinator of the agency, said the items included 100 bags of rice and millet, 50 bags of maize and 10 bags of salt.

Sidi said that other items included 50 cartoons each of instant noodles and bathing soap, 30 cartons of detergent, 50 Jerry cans of vegetable oil and 500 pieces of clothing materials.

Other items included 500 blankets, 300 mats, 100 mosquito nets, 200 mattresses, 500 pieces of plastic plates, cups and spoons. (NAN)
