Boko Haram: Adamawa Govt. Spends N500m To Rebuild Damaged Structures

boko-haramThe Adamawa Government said that it spent over N500 million in rehabilitating government’s structures that were destroyed by Boko Haram in recent gun attacks across the state.

Mr Kobis Thimnu, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), said this while speaking with the newsmen on Friday in Ganye.

“So far, we have expended over N500 million in rehabilitating the affected structures in seven local government areas.

“Rehabilitation works in Maiha and Ganye local government areas had been completed. In Ganye alone, seven structures were rehabilitated, including the central office, library, courts and the divisional police station,’’ he said.

Thimnu noted with satisfaction the atmosphere of peace now prevailing in the state, urging the people to continue to be peaceful, while giving maximum cooperation to security agencies in the state.

“On our part as government, we will continue to do our best to ensure peace and security in the state,’’ he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the seven local government areas where rehabilitation works are taking place are Ganye, Song, Maiha, Mubi North, Gombi, Hong and Michika cuncil areas. (NAN)
