Glo Premier League Week 34: Nembe City Topples Bayelsa United as Enyimba Climbs Top.

Bayelsa United relinquished the top spot of the Glo Premier League on Wednesday following a 1-0 loss to local rivals Nembe City, while Enyimba remained unbeaten at home, after seeing off a plucky Akwa United to return to the summit.

Bayelsa United are now leveled on 55 points with new leaders Enyimba with an inferior goal difference. Relegation battlers Nembe City have earned 45 points.

Nembe’s super-sub Obioma Arinze’s 65th minute winner made all the difference in a local derby held up for about 10 minutes.

An Emeka Nwana’s first-half strike was all the ‘People’s Elephant’ needed to go top of the Nigeria Professional Football League on Matchday 34.
