PDP Crisis: Jonathan In Talks With Aliyu, Lamido, Nyako, Wamakko

goodluck_jonathan_dozeIn a bid to bring to an end the crises in the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan last night met with some of the aggrieved governors in the First Lady’s conference room, State House, Abuja.

The meeting which took place behind closed doors and was kept under wraps from the press, reportedly had Governors Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Babangida Aliyu (Niger) and Murtala Nyako (Adamawa) in attendance.

It could not be confirmed whether Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi was there, but it was gathered that Governors Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara State) and Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano State) could not attend because they were out of the country on official engagements.

Details of the meeting were sketchy at the time of compiling this report.
