Governors of Sokoto and Jigawa States Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko and Alhaji Sule Lamido respectively, have stressed that the crisis rocking the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) is a test of the party’s constitution.

“We want the sanctity of the party’s constitution to be respected and allowed to work,” they stated in Sokoto.

Lamido and Wamakko are two out of the seven governors that floated a faction of the party known as “New PDP” in expression of their frustration at the happenings in the ruling party under the leadership of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

They also maintained their earlier resolve to remain in the PDP saying that “one cannot build a house and leave it.”

The governors spoke at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto, before Gov. Lamido, who was on a two day official visit to Sokoto left for Jigawa State.

Speaking through the PDP North-West Vice chairman Ambassador Ibrahim Kazaure, the governors insisted they are fighting for the truth.

His words: “The G-7 governors are not fighting anybody but we are fighting for the truth”.

  1. When will this Northern Governors speak the truth for ones? You claim to be fighting for the truth while you are the ones defiling the constitution yet you go about saying trash to mislead the masses. Every constitution both that the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the party non stated that a President who is humble should allow some power seeking Governors condition his civic right as a citizen to reach an agreement under durex that is not inclusive in Nigeria’s constitution. While are the masses watching them make moves to disintegrate Nigeria and no one is showing concern until the deeds are done. God deliver us from such tyrant Governors and Leaders sponsoring them.

  2. Before Jonathan, the road from Lagos to Ibadan, is one the busiest road in Nigeria, Lagos-Ore-Benin Road. This were the Promise of Jonathan. The road has been re-awarded more than three times to two companies, yet nothing has been done. Is this a way of dividing the country or tribalism towards some area. No single federal construction in the west. Jonathan believed that Northerners, south-south,and the East are enough to win the second term. Sometimes those who mold you can as well break you. Comparing Yar’adua and Jonathan, Yar’adua is more better. We dig ourself into this Mr. Luck. But sometimes luck do run out. THE HIGHEST CORRUPTIONS IN THE HISTORY OF NIGERIA, NO ELECTRICITY, BAD ROADS THAT NEEDS TO BE PUT IN ORDER AND YET YOU WANT TO CONSTRUCT RING ROAD AT ABUJA. PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES EVERYDAY ON FEDERAL ROADS DUE TO BAD GOVERNANCE. JONATHAN USES HELICOPTER TO GO AROUND IN THE WEST BECAUSE OF BAD FEDERAL ROAD.THREE MAJOR THINGS THAT NIGERIA NEED FROM JONATHAN THAT HAS NOT BEEN MET WERE 1.GOOD ROADS TO CONNECT CITIES, 2. ELECTRICITY, 3 DEALING WITH CORRUPTIONS.
