Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State has returned from Abuja on Wednesday after attending the latest round of peace talks called by President Goodluck Jonathan with some aggrieved PDP governors at the Presidential Villa Tuesday night and hinted that a breakthrough might be announced on Sunday.
Governor Amaechi, who arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport expressing some level of optimism, told journalists “We have agreed to keep quiet until Sunday. So by Sunday you will hear us. There is no need to talk about it.”
Information Nigeria learnt that Tuesday’s meeting was postponed till Sunday when the atmosphere became too tensed to make further progress in the reconciliation talks.
