Rangers vs. ABS: Players Vow to Prove a Point Amid Injury Worries.

Enugu Rangers are set to miss three of their key players in their Glo Premier League Week 34 tie at home to ABS.

The trio of Chibuzor Madu, Cyril Oriaku and Ousmane Pape Sane are to remain on the sideline for Wednesday’s match.

Madu, whose move to Turkey fell through recently, is nursing a muscle sprain, while Oriaku is recuperating from similar injury. Ousmane has a knock around the ankle.

Meanwhile, both sides are prepared for the game despite the injury woes which is not only peculiar to the hosts alone.

Fade Adebayo of ABS will miss the trip to Enugu as he is nursing an injury sustained during last weekend 2-1 home victory over Heartland.

“Enugu is a difficult place to come, but we are very determined to grab at least a point,” ABS midfielder Thomas Zenke told supersport.com.

“This is a crucial part of the season and we are well aware that if we are to stay up, now is the time to start bringing the points home. I’m sure we can do it.”

Rangers captain Godwin Ayalogu told MTNFootball.com that the ‘Flying Antelopes’ vowed to win the fixture in honour of their departed kit manager Segun Martins.

“Segun was one of us and we will surely miss him for his jokes, diligence and general approach to life,” Ayalogu disclosed.

“We have resolved to ensure that ABS are completely annihilated as a mark of respect for him.”

Martins, who has worked with Rangers for over 20 years, died of kidney related infections over the weekend in an Enugu hospital. He worked with the Enugu club in the capacity of a kit manager, camp commandant and chief store keeper in his lifetime.
