Unbeaten Dortmund, Bayern, Win as Van Marwijk Draw First Hamburg Game.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund maintained their unbeaten start to the German Bundesliga season with victories on Saturday.

Dortmund rose to the summit of the German League table on goal difference following their 5-0 win over Freiburg, with Robert Lewandowski hitting target on two occasions.

Bayern edged Wolfsburg 1-0 thanks to Thomas Muller’s match winner. The defending champions are now levelled on 19 points with last season’s runner-ups Dortmund after seven games.

Bayern Leverkusen are just one points behind the joint league leaders after seeing off fourth-placed Hannover by 2-0. The coach Sami Hypia’s side are enjoying their best start to a Bundesliga season with six wins and one defeat from seven games.

Freiburg were reduced to ten men at half-time and played the whole of the second-half one-man down following midfielder Fallou Diagne’s red card for conceding a penalty, which Reus converted.

Struggling Hamburg started life under new coach Bert van Marwijk with a 2-2 draw away to Eintracht Frankfurt thanks to Marcell Jansen’s ;ate equaliser.

Hoffenheim rallied from 3-1 down to square their duel with Schalke 3-3, while Hertha Berlin also came from behind to beat Mainz 3-1.
