Van Persie Set for West Brom Return.

Manchester United boss David Moyes confirms striker Robin van Persie and Tom Cleverley are back in training after missing the ‘Red Devils” last two games and the 1-0 win over Liverpool in the League Cup respectively.

Van Persie will be available for the champions’ home game against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, though it is uncertain whether he starts or not.

The Dutch striker was a late exclusion from the team which lost 4-1 to Manchester City last Sunday, after he sustained a groin injury in the match buildup.

Wayne Rooney masterminded a United attack, which was short of ideas up front. The last season’s Premier League top goal scorer with 36 goals will now be available for selection tomorrow.

“Robin will be back involved somewhere,” Moyes said in his pre-match conference.

“Whether we use him, whether we don’t he has trained today. He is back fit and we will see exactly where he is.”

A knee injury picked up in training kept Cleverly out of the Capital One Cup victory over Liverpool on Wednesday. He remains doubtful despite returning to training.

“Tom has done a bit of training today as well, he is not too serious. He sorted of rocked his knee in training and we were a bit worried, but he has had no reaction from it.

“He has done some training today and hopefully he won’t be too far away tomorrow either.”

Meanwhile West Brom are hopeful Victor Anichebe and Nicolas Anelka will be available despite minor knocks.
